The Coordination of the Graduate Program in Biological Sciences (PPGCB) of the Institute of Biological Sciences of the Federal University of Goiás, publicly announces the opening of registrations for the selective process of applicants to the Master and Doctorate Courses in Biological Sciences. The Public Notice No. 02/2023 is available on the PPGCB website (https://pos.icb.ufg.br/p/1149-processos-seletivos) and other information can be obtained from the PPGCB Secretariat by phone (+55) 62 3521 1078 from 09:00am to 12:00pm and 14:00pm to 17:00pm (Brasilia time, GMT-3:00), Monday to Friday, or e-mail: secppgcb.icb@ufg.br

This notice is only for candidates of foreign nationality, residing outside Brazil.

The Graduate Program in Biological Science will offer 1 vacancy and fellowship for Master's degrees and 1 vacancy and fellowship for Doctorate.

Important recommendations:

1) Be in an environment with good internet connection quality and free from noise and distractions.

2) Access the virtual room 5 minutes before the scheduled time for the start of your interview. When clicking on the virtual room link, wait to be granted access to enter the room.

3) Upon entering the room, the panel will instruct you to share your PowerPoint presentation file and will indicate when you can start the presentation.

4) Each candidate will have up to 10 minutes to present their Research Project. Subsequently, the candidate will be questioned by the examining panel for a period of up to 20 minutes.

5) After the questioning, the panel will ask the candidate to leave the room so that the next candidate can access it.

6) It is not allowed to attend the presentation and questioning of another candidate.

7) Connection problems or difficulties in using the virtual tools are the responsibility of the candidate and may result in disqualification. It is also not allowed to reschedule the candidate's presentation and questioning to a different time than the one previously established and informed.

8) If the candidate does not access the room by the scheduled time for the start of their presentation, the panel will allow a 5-minute tolerance period. If the candidate does not access the room within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time, they will be automatically disqualified from the process.

9) It is recommended that candidates, especially those who are not familiar with the Google Meet platform, undergo training on its use (with colleagues or the supervisor indicated in the research project) to avoid difficulties during the presentation to the panel, which could potentially impact their final evaluation.
