3) Detection, Production and Characterization of Bioactive Molecules and Materials
This area of research brings together researchers who work with a wide variety of methodologies. Their activities involves detection of bioactive molecules (natural and synthetic), such as drugs prototype, enzymes and proteins, mutagenic agents, anti-mutagenic, toxic agents, among others. The actions of these molecules are studied through in vitro and in vivo bioassays to characterize and establish their potential applications and / or formulations. The production of bioactive molecules and materials is also the target of this group.
